An appreciation of your area

Reporter Graeme Murray visits the City Centre, Merchant City, Yorkhill and Anderston, Hillhead and Woodlands, Broomhill and Partick West, Hyndland, Dowanhill and Partick East, and Anniesland, Jordanhill and Whiteinch.

Jordanhill is a mostly middle-class area of the West End. It consists largely of substantial terraced housing dating from the early 20th century, with some detached and semi-detached homes as well as local authority flats. The area was home to the Jordanhill Teacher Training College, which subsequently became part of the University of Strathclyde.
